Why Should I Visit?
Trying to explain what BNI is all about is a bit like giving a haircut on the phone! To really understand the BNI experience you need to visit us. It will take just a couple of hours and a nominal breakfast and venue hire fee. However, it could open up a magnificent new way to generate serious business.

What happens on the day?

The chapter will run through the BNI agenda. Upon arrival at 7.30am you’ll be introduced to the members informally. You’ll have the chance to tell people 1-to-1 about your business while having a cup of coffee. At 7.45am the formal agenda starts and people will give presentations and pass business between themselves. You can give a 60 second presentation about your business if you wish but there’s absolutely no pressure. It’s the BNI agenda that really separates us from the competition because it’s been proven to work over the past 20+ years!

Why not pay us a visit and see the benefits of BNI first hand?

Membership is only available to one business category per chapter. Visit us and find out how to lock out your competition.

The Agenda

The President of the chapter chairs the meetings every week ensuring that we follow the structured agenda developed by BNI that is proven to maximise the business passed between us.

This agenda includes the following:

Open Networking between members and visitors takes place from 7.30am for 15 minutes and may continue after the meeting is closed at 9.00am.
Welcome Visitors and introduce the Leadership Team.
Purpose & Overview of BNI is revisited each week to remind members and educate visitors as to why we are meeting … we want to grow our business.
Networking Education is presented by the Education Coordinator
BNI Networking Leaders are recognised for their outstanding contribution the month prior, be it for the number of referrals or number of visitors they introduced.
Business Cards of fellow members are replenished by each of us so that they are available to hand out to prospects the following week.
Welcome New and Renewing Members
60-Second Presentation is performed by each member where we continue the process of educating each other in what we do and how we add value. Visitors are also given the opportunity to present their 60-Second afterwards.
Vice President’s Report on the chapter’s performance including number of referrals passed, number of visitors etc
Membership Committee Report includes an update to other members on professions still needed in the chapter, pending applications etc
Secretary Treasurer’s Report addresses renewal fees due and explains the fee structure to visitors
10-Minute Presentation is performed by 1 member each week on a rotational basis. This is a great opportunity for the speaker to showcase their business in more detail for the benefit of other members.
Referrals & Testimonials – the most important part of the meeting. This is where we pass our referrals to fellow members.
Referral Reality Check – one or two prior referrals are selected whereby feedback is given by the members on the outcome.
Reminders & Announcements
Door Prize Draw is done from the week’s referral slips that were given. The Door Prize is provided by the 10-minute speaker and generally has something to do with the business they are in.
Meeting is Closed and visitors are encouraged to go through a very brief Visitor Orientation.

Your 60 seconds

At each meeting both members and visitors have an opportunity to stand up and tell us a little bit about their business. Here are some tips for a great 60 seconds...
1. Introduction
Tell us a bit about yourself... your name, company and position and what type of business you are in.
2. Give us some highlights
Tell a story or give us an indication about how you have helped someone recently
3. Why are you different
Give a clear outline of how you differentiate yourself from your competition.
4. Tell us what makes a good referral
“A good referral for me is….” (be specific)
5. Use a memory hook
A memory hook can help to make your business stick in peoples minds. It is a strapline that succinctly tells people what your business does. Finish your 60 seconds with your name and company.
Finally, to ensure you are comfortable with your 60 seconds prepare in advance.

If you are interested in visiting or becoming a member of our chapter please Contact Us to book your seat.
